2. Do I need to see a podiatrist before booking a cosmetic treatment?

Not always! You’re welcome to book directly for nail services. However, if you have concerns like thickened toenails, ingrown nails, calluses, or persistent foot pain, we recommend a podiatry consult first. Many clients enjoy the convenience of a combined Medi-Pedi (podiatry + nail treatment in one visit).

 

3. What is a “Medi-Pedi”?

A Medi-Pedi is the perfect blend of medical and aesthetic care. First, a podiatrist addresses any underlying foot or nail concerns. Then, your therapist completes the look with cosmetic nail care—think polish, BIAB, or a luxe finish. It’s the ultimate confidence boost, with safety at the core.

 

4. Is Sole Studio safe for people with medical conditions?

Absolutely ✅. Because we are podiatrist-led, we understand conditions like diabetes, eczema, fungal nails, and circulation issues. All tools are sterilised to medical standards, and every treatment is adapted to ensure your safety and comfort.

 

5. What products do you use?

We use high-quality, carefully chosen products that align with our philosophy: aesthetic results without compromising health. 

 

6. Can men book treatments too?

Yes! We believe everyone deserves confident, healthy hands and feet. Our environment is welcoming, discreet, and designed to cater to both men and women.

7. Where are you located, and can I book online?

Sole Studio is located alongside Sole Podiatry clinics at 60 Keilor Road, Essendon North.  Online bookings are available 24/7 via our website, or you can call us during business hours for assistance.

 

9. What if I just want a relaxing, pampering pedicure?

That’s perfect too! You don’t need a medical condition to enjoy Sole Studio. Many of our clients come purely for the luxury experience and peace of mind knowing it’s all performed to the highest hygiene standards.

 

10. Do you do acrylic nails or SNS?

No—we don’t use acrylics or SNS because they can damage nail health and compromise on hygiene. Instead, we offer healthier, long-lasting options like BIAB, Gel Polish and Dazzle Dry polish that strengthen and protect your natural nails while still looking fabulous. 
Our products have been carefully selected for their medical-grade safety, durability, and ability to promote natural nail health—so you can enjoy beautiful results without compromising on care.

11. What is your cancellation policy?

We understand that schedules can change. If you need to reschedule or cancel, we kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a 50% late cancellation fee.
If you do not attend your appointment and haven’t contacted us by phone or email, the full service fee (100%) will be charged.

12. How long will my polish last?

Polish longevity depends on your natural nail health, daily activities, and exposure to water/chemicals. As a guide, most clients experience:

• Dazzle Dry Polish: 5–10 days
   

• Gel Polish: 2–3 weeks
   

BIAB (Builder in a Bottle) / Structured Gel Manicure: 3–4 weeks with proper care

13. Are your polishes pregnancy safe?

Yes. All our polishes, including Dazzle Dry and BIAB, are safe to use during pregnancy.
